In the past years there’s been tensions between the Cleveland Indians organization and the National Coalition on racism in sport and media attacking the Washington Red Skins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Atlanta Braves, native -American’s found the mascots to be “personally offensive” and should not have been impermissible of them to use the mascots as the main face of their ball clubs, and not asking for permission, and unthoughtful. Most people did not feel it was it was offensive to their heritage, not knowing the full history and what it entails, and the racism native- Americans endured throughout history.
